My nest doorbell (battery) won't connect to a second tier nest wifi mesh point.

I have a Google Nest doorball mounted to my gatepost at the end of my driveway (50 meters away from the router, but only 4 meters away from a next wifi point) and it won't connect to my Google Home app. It did connect when I tested it in the house (presumable becuase it was connecting directly to the nest wifi router), but it won't connect once it is needing to connect via a nest mesh point, linked to another mesh point, that is then connected to the router.WhatsApp Image 2023-07-05 at 13.28.33.jpg

Seen hundreds of complaints about the nest mesh points. I have no fix just sharing what I've read about the nest mesh points online. I personally do not and never will use them or any other google products for that matter after the way google has treated me with my faulty cameras... Ive read some users have tossed the mesh points and changed brand with success though. Maybe persevere for a while if no luck then you may have to go the way of others that couldn't get them to work and use another brand.

Unfortunately, I must agree. I have 4 indoor cams and all of them have become unstable since the last updates. Constantly having connection issues and not connecting to the nearest mesh repeater. I regret purchasing these products and will make no further investments into this brand. You can't even remotely restart these cameras and some of them I have in inconvenient locations to quickly unplug. As of right now, they are not fit for purpose.

Hello everybody,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To make sure that we're on the same page, what is the light status of your Nest Doorbell? Are your other smart devices able to connect to your 2nd Wi-Fi point? Try restarting your Nest Doorbell and 2nd Wi-Fi point. In case you're still getting the same issue, you may re-set up your Nest Doorbell near your 2nd Wi-Fi point. You need to remove your Nest Doorbell from your app then reset it to the factory default and add it back to your app. Let us know how it goes.

Emerson
