I have a nest outdoor camera (battery) and have Nest Aware Plus (24/7 video history for 10 days).
We had a breaking but the camera did not declare it an "event." The police need the footage but I cannot figure out how to download a time segment to give them as evidence.
How do I download the data that I subscribe to so I can provide it to the police?

Unfortunately, when Google Nest decided to support its new battery cameras and doorbells ONLY with the Google Home app, and not with the Google Nest app or the home.nest.com website, this removed the ability to manually create and download video clips.

Horrendous. I wished I’d known this before spending more money off the flood lights and upgrading (their words and not mine) my account to the Google home. I’ve got 9 cameras, plus, full security and smoke detectors. I will not be buying any more and will actively replace these when the time comes.
Google need to wake up and smell the competition.

There has not been an adequate response to this severe usability issue. I am also having this problem.

UNBELIEVABLE
After spending thousands of dollars on their product I discover this. Who's running the show over there. Totally insane that you can't do a mass download.

Two options:
1. Request a data download from Nest Cams and Video at https://takeout.google.com/.
2. Screen recording while playing content in the Home app: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207935 (iOS).
Good luck! I found screen recording to be much easier. Hopefully Google will fix this soon.
