I have two Nest Outdoor IQ cameras that have been installed for more than a year and have been working OK. Remarkably I found both of the round clear plastic lens that cover the camera on the ground adjacent to the cameras. The round clear plastic protection lens fit perfectly in the hole in the center of the camera but falls out do to gravity. I don't know if the lens were glued into the cavity or held in place by some other method. Are these apparently protective pieces necessary. Maybe they should have been removed during installation but I do not recall anything about them. Now, should I leave the lens, one for each camera out, or do I need to somehow put them back in the cavity and glue them in place or secure them some other way?

Brad,
I was not looking for a replacement parts. I was just trying to learn the function of the small flat round clear plastic piece maybe 1 1/2" that fits in the center of the Nest Outdoor IQ Camera. I have the two pieces, one for each camera that fell out of the camera. Are these seemingly protective pieces really necessary? If so, shoud I try to glue them back in place? The cameras seem to functioning normally without these small pieces.

I would definitely recommend you continue to use those two parts that have come with your device. Do you have a picture to share at all? I would love to see exactly what you are talking about.
Best regards,
Brad
