Nest Battery Doorbell indoor chime notification

I have used a Google speaker and now have an Apple HomePod with no luck. I need a doorbell chime to sound in my house when somebody pushes the button.  Notification to my phone is not even close to a clear answer when I am at work and the other folks don’t hear something when they are home.  Is there a way for me to get a sound chime notification through the Apple HomePod?

No because HomePod is an Apple product which doesn't integrate with Google Home.

The Google speaker I was told would not allow a chime notification when someone was at the door and pushed the button. I’d love to have the Google and Apple products integrated thru the Home App - and was told (possibly incorrect) that it was possible.

Not sure who told you both of those things, but that's not correct.

As long as you have a Nest Doorbell and Google Nest or Home speaker or display, in the same home in the Google Home app, you can get a visitor announcement when someone presses the button.

Extremely unlikely for Apple products to be supported in the Google Home app I'm afraid. They're made by different companies, each with competing smart home apps.
