Hi.
I pay for 24/7 Nest Aware Plus and have noticed that my camera is missing important motion alerts.
I have reset the camera by pressing the button behind it to see if this resolves it which is hasn’t.
It can go hours throughout the night missing cars driving past or even people for that matter which isn’t ideal.
My router is literally in the living room and the camera on the outside of the house so not far away. I don’t think it’s a wifi issue and more the fact that this camera just isn’t fit for purpose.
I was originally having issues with the cameras battery even though it was plugged in with a weatherproof nest cable..but the camera was replaced. On the new camera, i left all settings as default to see if this helps and so far so good..shows the infinity symbol and not a battery percentage. However, i have changed the wake up sensitivity to increase to see if this helps with motion but nothing.
What else can be done to rectify this please?

The wake sensitivity is deficient also on the wired version of the doorbell camera. It leaves to important information not captured in the historical clips. This is a major deficiency with the 2nd generation cameras from Google. The previous generation of cameras from Nest did not suffer from this defiency.

100%. I had the older generation where the power cable was attached to the camera. That camera worked flawlessly.
This new battery camera is a shambles along with the Google Home App.
Pointless stating its a cctv camera when it doesn’t record what it’s supposed to! So frustrating as I’ve fully invested into the Google ecosystem.

Hi.
I created the zones but that hasn’t helped at all.
I have a wired outdoor battery camera facing the opposite way and that picks up the majority of motion although that misses bits on a night.
This battery one is shocking..it has picked up 3 motions over 3 days on a busy main road. I have even angled it differently to see if that helps?
Maybe the camera is faulty like the last 3?

Sorry to hear you're still experiencing this. Have you tried to lower the sensitivity for each type of alert? This can be done inside each zone, and should generally be able to access those settings.
Best regards,
Brad
