For some reason, the Nest Cam is not recording at night. I've often been outside to close the front gate around 9.30pm, but it picks up NOTHING. No issues during the day.

A few questions — when did this start? Are there any changes made on the Google Home app? Do you have family members?
One option you could also check, is your Home and Away routines. You can set up and edit Home and Away routines with the Home app. Check this article About Home and Away routines to learn more.
