What is the electrical power requirement for a Next Cam with Floodlight? An OnTech installation person just refused to install them for me, stating that a standard electrical outlet will not supply enough power for the floodlight? He says that instead a new set of wires will need to be run from the main switchbox to provide enough power.
Is this correct? What are the power requirements (esp, the amperage or watts) required for the Nest Cam Floodlight?
Thank you!

I finally found the answer in another posting discussion. It uses 35.42 watts. This is reported to be printed on the back of the camera unit.
Google really needs to make this information available to the public. The web page in the previous reply does not give this information, nor is it available elsewhere in Google's website. I wasted several hours trying to get this information. Even Google tech support chat could not give it me.

I have seen your responses, and can confirm that the Nest Cam with Floodlight uses 35.42 watts according to the label on the back of the floodlights. So there is no need for a dedicated power line.
I would repeat my earlier sentiments that google ought to make the information available to the public. (Really, why not???) Also, it is more than annoying that OnTech --- the google recommended installer --- does not know this and refuses to install the Nest Cam with Floodlight without a dedicated line. I just got installed with another contactor today, and all is working now.
But, yes, please close out this thread.
Thank you.
