Nest Cam Indoor turns off completely after successful setup (home away off)

Summary

Installation 

- Scanned QA Code, installed through app on IOS successfully, connected to wifi (got the chime and green light)

- Immediately device shuts off and app is unable to show live stream of camera and camera goes completely dark

Troubleshoot

- soft boot from app, hard boot (pulled plug) 

- removed camera and reinstalled and added back to network successfully

- Added a reserved IP Address to router and tied to camera's mac address

Result 

- same continued behavior. Connects then blacks out

Observation

- If I removed the camera from the app (delete) then the blue light comes back on. Reconnect and add device back through app and once successful blue light turns off and camera goes dark again

- Home Away is turned off, not sure where to go from here. I have two of these cameras and the other works fine

Hey jlao77,

 

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. Could you tell us the status light of your Nest Cam Indoor after it gets offline? Are you using the USB cable and adapter that shipped with the camera? Is the end of the cable plugged into the camera? Check if the logo is visible on the USB connector when viewing the back of the camera. The visible logo indicates the USB connector is inserted correctly.

At first its blinking slowly in blue, after setup it connects I hear Audio to confirm and the app shows connection success then light flashes green for one sec and it goes out. Then the camera no longer lights up at all.

If I remove the camera from the app and uninstall it then after about 30 seconds the slow flashing blue light comes back. 

This process is repeatable each time
