Nest Cam Link with password error on mobiles Update your browser, your current browser can't play

Dear Team,

I am able to view a Nest Cam Link with a password on my PC but, when I try this on my wife's iPhone 13 in Chrome or Safari, both fully up-to-date. I face this error:

Update your browser, your current browser can't play this video.

I can't seem to get this work on a mobile. Can you kindly guide?

Thank you very much in advance.

The preferred way of doing this is to install the NEST app (or GoogleHome app) on her phone.  Then from your phone, you go into the NEST app and go to the top page where you can see all your cameras and hit the GEAR icon. From there you hit the FAMILY icon and follow the directions.  I believe she will need a Gmail account to do this but I can't recall for sure.  Not only will she be able to see the cameras but she will (I believe) be able to set up her own motion alerts.

Hey @EmptyNester,

Thank you for the suggestion but, allow me to clarify. This is eventually the solution we want to give to my mother-in-law to only see one camera in our house vs. all of them. Hence, I don't have the luxury of using the app since that gives blanket access to all cameras in the home and I need to give access only to 1 particular camera. Hence, my only choice is to get this link working on mobile and I'm confused as to why it wont.

Hi VH,  I know there have been a few people with this request here on this forum and I don't believe there is a solution within Nest to work the way you want it to.  So I believe there are only (2) solutions that might work.  #1 Get another nest camera and put it on its own account.  That way you can install the app on her phone and she will only see that one camera.  #2  Get a camera from another company that is just for her.   You might want to check out the Eufy cams.  They are inexpensive and they don't require a subscription.   I have (2) of the Eufy Security Solo OutdoorCam C24 cameras and they are pretty great with an easy-to-use app.  It is on Amazon now for $100.  But they have many different models as well.
