Nest Cam black live screen

Hi Everyone

I am not new the Google Home World and have set a couple of Nest Cams for my Parents and friends.
I now have my own home and bought 2 Nest Indoor cams.
The setup went without issues until the live stream to install the camera comes up. Unfortunately the screen takes forever to load and also after loading stays black. I can hear things through the cameras mic, but the screen stays black.
Also after finishing the setup and checking the live feed, the screen is just black.

When I check the history though, I can see everything.
I have read on the exact same issue that somebody had, but the solution provided, doesn‘t work for me.

I have a split 2.4GHz and 5GHz Network. Setting them up on either of them didn‘t solve the issue.
I also tried to set up the other camera and also there the same issue persists.

Could there maybe be another router issue I need to solve?

Anyone else had similar issues?

So I finally solved the issue.

I had to create a new "Home" and now the setup and live mode works flawlessly.

So I tried to also set it up thru my phones hotspot feature and it still gives us a black screen in the live view

Hey DanielTheFirst,

Thanks for being a step ahead of us. What phone are you using to set up your Nest cameras (Android, iOS)? Have you tried force closing the Google Home app, then reboot your phone to see if that helps? Also, reinstalling the app might do the trick. Keep us posted.

Thanks,

Archie

Hi Archie

I am using iOS to add them in my Google Home App. I also have tried setting everything up with my iPad.

Unfortunately restarting my phone, force closing the app and reinstalling the app didn't solve the issue either.

Hi folks,

@DanielTheFirst sorry to hear if you're still having the same issue. To further look at this, can you tell me what type of Nest indoor camera do you have? Is it the battery or the wired type? If possible, can you send the photo of your actual camera? Also, have you tried changing the position of your camera?

Looking forward to your response.

@aatienza I appreciate the help.

Regards,

Emerson
