Can the nest cam outdoor be hardwired? I planning on buying both outdoors cams with AND without floodlights. I understand that the cams with floodlights can be hardwired. My question is whether the cams without floodlights can be hardwired. Thank you!

We've had a Google Nest Camera (Battery) since Sept. 2021 plugged in all the time with the optional power cable and it's done fine (including through a Minnesota winter) with 24/7 history with Nest Aware Plus. Of course, like all of the new Google Nest cameras, it can only be accessed in the Google Home app--a nuisance.

Thanks, Mplscustomer, but my question was more for hardwired, not plugged in to an outlet. The outdoor nest cam with floodlights can be hardwired (connected directly to home electrical wiring). I may end up just buying the floodlight cam and turn off the floodlight for certain cameras.

The challenge you'll have in hard-wiring the Google Nest Camera (Battery) is that you'll need to somehow include the power adapter that's part of the optional power cable (https://store.google.com/product/nest_cam_weatherproof_cable?hl=en-US). Perhaps this is built into the floodlight camera.
