Hi Folks,
Our first Nest Cam setup went well using the Home App, the second camera goes through to a screen saying "Connecting to assisting Nest device" and fails to connect.
They're both currently on my desk within 1m of the WiFi router. It's not an internet/connection issue.
If I setup a new home in the Google Home app I can add it to that, but I cannot then work out how to move it across without removing it and starting again.
Any help would be appreciated. It's disappointing that Google can't make this easy.

If you search this forum for "assisting device" or "assisting nest product" (in quotes), you'll find many posts on this issue, with many suggested solutions. Google Nest Support hasn't provided a solution on any of the posts. I can't speak to any of them because we haven't encountered the problem at our house.
Here are a couple of the threads:

https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Problems-installing-nest-cameras/m-p/48... (See the last post in this thread; it seems less disruptive.)
