I have a Nest Cam IQ Outdoor where Night Vision unfortunately is broken and it seems to be a hardware problem.
So now I am in the market for a Nest Cam to replace it. I want a wired option so now there only seems to be the Nest Cam with Floodlight available...
There are so many issues with this. I just want a simple camera like the outdoor battery version but wired.
The floodlight version just has so many negatives for someone like me:
1. Floodlight adds cost
2. It can only be mounted vertically (I want to mount it upside down)
3. It looks absolutely hideous
Two questions
a) Are the Product Managers reading these posts - or where can I share this with Next/Google?
b) Are there any options I have overlooked where I can add a Nest outdoor, wired camera mounted upside down?
Thank you all in advance.

We bought a Google Nest Camera (Battery) in Sept. 2021 and have it plugged in with the optional power cable. It works pretty good since it's plugged in (including in a Minnesota winter), but because it works only in the Google Home app it is missing some of the functionality of our older Google Nest cameras and doorbells.

There are no Nest Products left. Google took those items and threw them in the trash. What they replaced them with are Google Cameras and other crap using the nest Name. The quality is gone, they do not use the nest app only the crap home app. And no Google support does not participate nor read ANYTHING on this forum. Google is only active of tweeter where they respond with, “hi we stumbled over your twerk” let’s see what you’re doing wrong since our products are flawless. Sad but true. Nest products was tossed aside and only the name lives on.

I was actually not aware of this. I did not read the fine print and therefore did not notice that new cams only work with the Google app - would absolutely hate to have two different apps...
Does this mean that the current Nest app will eventually be deprecated?

The Nest App is still supported, but you can check out this blog post for more information on our roadmap.
