Anytime the video feed is obscured by snow, rain, leaves, fog, etc, false repeat detections are made for stationary objects in frame, such as parked cars. The neural network needs to know that a car seen shortly before, is the same car after the obstruction has left and not falsely retrigger.
While this isn't a huge issue for indoor cameras, it makes outdoor cameras significantly less usefully. The Netatmo Smart Outdoor Camera has the same issue, so if Google wants' to beat them, this would be a significant feature upgrade.
