I switched my modem and my Nest Cam disconnected. When i tried to reconnect it with my computer, I got the message that the Nest app will not interface with my OS on my Mac. It says "cannot connect until developer updates app". Help please.

I think the option to use your computer to update a camera's Wi-Fi settings applies only to some older camera models, and in addition, it may be a feature Google Nest is not updating with later operating system updates.

Another option is to remove your Google Nest Outdoor Camera from the Google Nest app before changing your router/modem; this is the only option for performing a factory reset on some older cameras like the Google Nest Outdoor Camera (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252162?hl=en&sjid=1392788397068926639-NC#zippy=%2Cnest...).

Google Nest's first recommendation, given the difficulty in updating Wi-Fi settings on Google Nest's camera, is this:

"The simplest fix for most Nest products is to update your home network so that the network name (SSID) and password are the same as before. This will usually work even if you've purchased a new Wi-Fi router as long as the manufacturer settings are the same." (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9223711?hl=en&sjid=1392788397068926639-NC#zippy=%2Ctry-...)

We were able to do this when we got a new router/modem a couple of years ago, and did not have to update any of our Google Nest devices

Another option for some older cameras is to go to Settings | Home info | Home Wi-Fi help in the Google Nest app and update your camera's Wi-Fi settings (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9223711?hl=en&sjid=1392788397068926639-NC#zippy=%2Ctry-...). I don't know whether this has to be done on your old Wi-Fi network.

Thank you! Will try these options.
