I'm trying to figure out how Nest camera activity zones work with multiple users and devices.
If I set up activity zones for a specific camera on my phone, will those same zones be applied for everyone else who has access to the camera through their own Home app? Or do I need to set up the zones individually on each person's phone?
Basically, I want to make sure that everyone receives notifications only for the areas I've designated, and I'm not sure if this is handled at the camera level or the device level.

In our experience, activity zones are set up at the Google Nest "home" level and are NOT unique for each user.
Notifications for each of those activity zones are unique to each user and can be turned on or off by each user.

Thank you for your answer, can you please help me understand the difference between customer and user in this context? If I set an activity zone on my app, will I need to set it again on my family member's phone or will it be set automatically since they have family accounts connected to this home and it will be applied for all accounts?

Activity zones are the same for all family members. If one family member changes an activity zone, it is changed for all. I've edited my earlier comment to take out my mistaken reference to "customer".
