I have taken my nest camera down to charge. It's on a magnetic mount. Fully charged it and remounted it. Now when I try to verify that it is working I get unmounted error. I've tried resetting by uninstalling and hitting the button for five seconds but no luck.

I don't know why your battery camera is no longer recognizing that it is mounted. (We've had a battery camera for over 3 years, but ours is already plugged in.). However, holding the reset button down for 5 seconds performs a "Restart" only. See the "Factory reset" instructions later in the Help topic; they call for pressing the reset button for at least 12 seconds.

Thanks. Did the factory reset and reinstalled. The camera was fine while performing the installation, but once I mounted it back to where it was, I got this message: Live video unavailable. The camera may be unreachable or saving battery.

I don't know why Google Nest chose to lump "unreachable" and "saving battery" in the same error message.
Perhaps you have a defective camera; you could try contacting Support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
