Just purchased.
Followed installation instructions
I have a black screen on my mobile phone at the "you should now see live video" step
Tried reinstalling, tried resetting, no problem with internet bandwidth.
Largely this device seems to be a monumental waste of money.
I certainly don't want to put any of the busy people of Google Nest out of their way, but is there any solution to this, or should I just return and get a Ring doorbell/camera?
I note that this is an unresolved issue from 2022
Extraordinarily disappointing time burning device.

I'm having the exact same issue, I usually consider myself pretty decent with technology, installed the nest smart lock over the weekend as well but this **bleep** doorbell I cant get to show video. Everything installs properly, it identifies the doorbell, or so it says it does and then just nothing at that video screen, will even let you go further through the installation as well, I just don't want to waste my time installing it on my door for it to not work

Hey I came back here because you might have my same issue, just tap through the set up ignore everything and then once it says okay your camera is set up take the silver mount and press it against the back
