Transfer nest camera from google home app to Nest app?

I have the nest app with 4 cameras.  I migrated to the nest aware plan.  I bought new nest cameras but can only add them to Google home app.  How to get all cameras to only nest app ... or also view on nest app?  Nest app has such better features!!!

Certain models are designed for and can only be managed in the Home app, not the Nest app. As long as you're using the same home structure in both apps, all your cameras should be covered by your Nest Aware plan.

Welcome to the nightmare of the last 4+ years for anyone who has the Gen 1 cameras and bought the  newer cameras only to find out the only work in the Google Home app.  There is no way to make the work in the nest App.   To be fare Google has made a lot of advances in the Google Home app.   But for many of us it still lacks the features we love about the nest app.    For me I returned my new gen 2 cameras for a refund and purchased used Gen 1 cameras on ebay so i can stay in the Nest app for everything.

Wow...thank you for this detail!  I will do the same and turn in my Gen 2 cameras.  I wish I would've known before I bought the Gen 2s.

To confirm, the Nest Camera 2nd generation is specifically designed to function within the Google Home app. While I appreciate your desire to use the Nest app for your camera, this particular model is currently configured to operate primarily within the Google Home ecosystem, i know how useful would be for you but in not currently configure i would like you to submit feedback through the google home app or this forms Feedback for future reference.
