Nest Camera: Not getting notifications

I can view the camera live in Google Home app but I'm not getting notifications of activity.  I can scroll back if I know there was activity and view it but not getting notifications.  I used to.  I updated the phone and now I don't.  Please HELP!

Thanks for posting here in the community. Let's go ahead and see our options here to help you. To confirm, is the Airplane or do not disturb mode turned off or on? Have you tried it with a different mobile device? Is this issue constant or intermittent?

 

Give these steps a try:

  • Make sure that you're signed to your right account.
  • Turn off and on all notification settings in the app.
  • Check your app permission settings on your mobile device.
  • Try it with a different mobile device.
  • Consider setting up an activity zone.

Thank you so much.   It is working properly now.  I had been using the Google Home app since I have other Google products but I reinstalled the Nest app and it is notifying me as intended.
