Nest Camera Outdoor Night Vision

Hello,

Looking for advice if possible regarding placement and positioning of my cameras. I have the Nest Camera Outdoor battery.

I've tried changing my camera positions so that night vision is captured as best as it can.

With the attached samples, are the walls causing blur because of the IR or is this what to expect from night vision?

They are installed approximately in the house image where there is a red dot.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Google the Wasserstein outdoor camera hood. The hood helps with the light reflection m. Your not done though, before installing the hood you need to put black tape on the lip of the hood.  The cover is white and that will reflect more light.  The hood helps deflect outside light interference, the black tape stops the light from bouncing in front of the IR sensor.

Thanks! I do have the Wasserstein hoods installed already, but never looked up the black tape solution I'll try that.

Is my location closer to 'corners' affecting it at all?

Hi Steve,

Well I can't seem to fine tune my camera positions well enough to get anything better than this.

My question is, is this standard, or is there anything else I should be doing?
