Nest Camera as baby monitor

I have decided to use the Nest Cam as a baby monitor as many of its attributes fit our needs. However, I would really like to request a the Dev team to implement a background App functionality while the camera/audio is on so I can do other things on my phone as we listen to the baby. i know every parent in the world wants this feature.
