I've tried a few different approaches to this problem but still have never had a method that works perfectly.
1st method was with the Nest app where the home/away assist worked 80% of the time and both cams would follow suite. I couldn't get a second phone to work, it would just use what ever phone I entered last and disregard the first.
2nd method was just using the google home app with routines and delete the nest app so they didn't fight. Home app can never tell when my phone's home or not so I have to set it manually. After setting up the routine, it still won't turn cams on/off even if I manually set it to away or home so now I just have to turn cams on/off manually.
What's the point of this system if it's so complicated and doesn't work? Why are there 2 apps in order to do this and neither work correctly? It worked on my Pixel 3XL back in the day a little with the first method but ever since I got an S21 Ultra it just doesn't do anything anymore. I've ensured my phones location is turned on and is on the same wifi and what not. I've searched for anything that could help online but never find a solution and Google support doesn't help in the slightest. Just hope someone here has gone through similar issues and found a work around.
