We had power outage on Saturday for couple of hours. After it came back 2 cameras are back online but one of them is not working. I have unplugged and plugged it back in. It seems power outage might have fried it. What are my options at this time ?
Update: Talked to google support online, they walked me thru debugging, unplugging and other troubleshooting. Looks like Camera is dead and is not powering on. I am also bummed to learn that Google no longer has outdoor cameras with power. They are battery powered. Does anyone know if I can get powered outdoor nest cam from google still ?

You can buy and run an outdoor charge cable to the battery cams. Supposedly the battery cams work better when plugged in to constant power i.e. wake up faster to record events. Also viewing and recording live footage works better when plugged in to constant power. Without the power cable they sit "idle" and sometimes will not wake up from their idle state even whilst tap dancing directly in front of the camera.

Can you share link to power cable that will work on this ? Also looking on google site I do not see where cable would plug in. I am thinking about biting the bullet and upgrading all three cameras from costco.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. You can visit this support article to check for the full information on how to troubleshoot low battery issues for Nest Cameras and Doorbells. It will also indicate the compatible Google power adapter link.
I appreciate your help, @Anonymous and @MplsCustomer.
Best,
Jenelyn

We've had a battery camera for 20 months, plugged in with the optional power cable, and it works about as well as our older Google Nest Outdoor Cameras. However, it works only in the Google Home app, and so lacks some of the features of our older cameras, and browsing video history is therefore distinctly worse.
Google Nest quit selling any other outdoor camera in Sept. 2021, the month we bought our battery camera.

My advice is buy another brand. My battery cameras have been unusable for 2.5 weeks and nothing from google support except for lies and rhetoric. The google battery cameras are rubbish and not fit for purpose just buy another brand. Ive had mine for well over a year and they've never performed as advertised. Now they just dont work at all and google support just blame everything else except their own products and software its farcical. 2 grand dowm the drain on never ending faulty cameras. Just buy another brand is my advice. You'll save years of mental torture as the google battery cams are just utter garbage.

My issue is resolved. I took camera off, then tried diff power cycles and now it turns on.
Although still concerning that if i were to upgrade to latest version which is battery operated are not good quality and none of the members in this thread are recommending.
