Nest Camera notifications even when I am home.

I have "away only" notifications set for my 2 indoor cameras, but I still receive "person seen" and "animal seen" notifications when I am home. I checked the setting multiple times and I also looked on google home to ensure that it is showing me as home and not away. I'm at a a loss. It is really frustrating to get inundated with notifications anytime someone walks around the house. Please help!
