Nest Cameras - Outdoor Wired and Battery

TonyL
Community Member

This will be the 4th time I bring this matter up and still no resolution as to why 3 of my wired camera's (one does not even turn on anymore) and one battery camera do not connect (either C104 or C119) which is totally wrong as I have another 3 battery cameras further away from the router which have never given me an issue. As for C104 my password is correct each time as I check same.

I am not sure how to relay this issue directly to Google - have tried chat and call back feature only to be hung up on or told to call back as no one to make the call-back, the customer experience for me has been really bad as I would assume that someone from Google is also filtering on this exchange?

Anyway if someone knows how to relay messages or calls to Google so I can get this sorted it would be appreciated noting I have tried all suggestions provided on the community forums to no avail and I will trash the cameras if Google cannot help. A total waste of time and money at this stage.

Thanks

@TonyL

I'm just another Google Nest customer, but it seems the only way to contact Google Nest Support is to start with this link:

https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

I don't know how you would get a C104 or C119 error when trying to reinstall your Google Nest Outdoor Cameras unless you previously had them installed with different Wi-Fi credentials and did not first do a factory reset to get rid of the previous Wi-Fi credentials (see factory reset instructions after the restart instructions: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252162).

If you are having problems keeping four of your cameras connected, my suspicion is that Wi-Fi issues of some kind MIGHT be the problem, since it's unlikely that 4 different cameras would all fail at the same time.

I don't know what Wi-Fi issues to look at, since we don't have any issues with our cameras, doorbells, or Nest Hubs. But on this thread a couple of customers discovered they needed to turn on "Self Organizing Network" and turn off "Dynamic Frequency Selector". We don't even have those options on our Wi-Fi router.

Hi folks,

Checking in — have you tried to factory reset your cameras as shared by MplsCustomer? If so, how did it go? Let me know if you need more help.

I appreciate your help, MplsCustomer!

Thanks,
