Nest Cams on different WiFi

Ahudson87

Hi I have encountered the same exact issue referenced in this now locked thread:

https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-Cams-in-Home-App-to-Different-WiFi...

Since I cannot comment there I will reiterate the issue. Unlike the OP on the thread above, my residence lot is only about 6500 sq.ft. However, my WiFi network doesn’t give me the coverage I need to connect my cameras on different sides of the lot.

I got a WiFi repeater to resolve the issue, only to find that I can’t connect 2 cameras to different access points. Adding a second “home” is an inconvenient and unacceptable hack.

I want all my cameras on my modest size property to be managed in a single profile. Doesn’t seem like an outrageous request. When will support be added?

 Thanks

Are you able to configure your WiFi extender to use the same SSID and password as your main router?

you need to make sure you are creating one singular network.  Meaning you stated you purchased network extenders, you therefore should be creating an extension of your current network.  Make sure you check how you set them up
