Nest Doorbell - Animal Detection

Why doesn't the nest doorbell automatically have animal detection?  Why can't I change that setting on the Nest app?  I'm being told I have to use the "home" app.  I don't use that.  This is very time consuming and should be much more easy.  I was able to rescue 2 cats with my ring doorbell because it automatically detects animals.  I wish I never switched to Nest.

Hey there,

Animal detection and other motion detection options become available with a Nest Aware subscription depending on which tier you go with. Here is a great link on how Nest Aware works and how to subscribe, and here is a link on how to manage your subscription.
