Nest Doorbell Battery - No Power or Lights

Bought 9th October 2021 - has been working great for the last 2 years. Noticed yesterday, that it wasn't working. Took off to charge. No lights when charging. Left on charge over 5 hours - still no lights. Mounted back on metal plate - no life. Google Home app says "Device Offline" retry. Retry does nothing. 

If I hit the little battery symbol in the app, it says Battery 7 weeks. But as it can't actually see or connect to the doorbell, I have no idea how accurate that might be. 

Tried a 5 second press of the reset button - no life
Tried a 10 then 12 second reset button - no life

Doorbell is 4 months over it's standard 2 year warranty. What do I do now? Does it just go in the bin and I buy a new one? A new doorbell at £170 every 2.5 years seems rather excessive. Any ideas how I might fix this?
