Nest Doorbell Battery model

Hi everyone. I have correctly installed my unit and the camera, chimes, and external audio work perfectly. However, I cannot talk back to the person at the door. I can hear them, they can't hear me. Please can someone help?

I'm running Google Home android.

Hey there,


Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Hello everyone,

@FrancisT27 aside from restarting your Nest Doorbell, check if your permission to your microphone is enabled through the Nest app or Google Home app. You can check this on the settings of your mobile phone. Also, try to record your own voice through your default voice recorder app to check if your mobile phone's microphone is working fine. Hit this link for more information.
