Nest Doorbell Button doesn't work

TonyL316

HI,

I have the Nest Doorbell Wired for at least 4 years. Recently, the doorbell will only ring occasionally.  Does anyone has the same problem?  It is like it is stuck.  People thinks they have rung the doorbell but it doesn't chime inside our home.

Thanks!

Is your Google Nest Hello Doorbell going offline for a minute whenever the doorbell button is pushed? If so, then you may be among many hundreds of Google Nest customers where the internal battery on the Nest Hello has failed. It's now failed on all 3 of our Nest Hellos.

Since the main purpose of of the internal battery is to provide power to the doorbell and its camera during the instant when power is diverted to ring the indoor doorbell chime, a workaround is to turn off the "Indoor chime" option (this keeps the doorbell from going offline) and turn on the "Visitor announcements" option and rely instead on announcements sent to your Nest Hubs and Nest Minis.
