Just invested into Google Home, with a main hub nest Hub in our kitchen and a small screen in our front room.
When someone rings our doorbell can someone tell me how other people in the house are suppose to hear it? The alerts on the screen are so quiet if you are not in the room and its quiet, you cannot hear it anywhere in the house. It comes up on the phone, but we don't all walk around with the phones attached to our bodies. 3 x kids in the house - this does not seem to work like a normal doorbell. We had a RING before and had a plugin bell ringer in the hallway, that was loud and everyone could hear? Please help?

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. Aside from visitor announcements going to your Google Nest speakers and displays, you can get a chime connected to your Nest Doorbell. You can check this article on how to Check Nest doorbell compatibility for more info.

Steve

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. So as I see it, we have to now add a traditional door bell/ringer?? I dont know why Google have not just added an option to adjust volume on just the Nest Doorbell? The whole idea of Google home surely is to streamline a home not to make it so basic we have to resort to adding old technology?!?
