I recently installed power to my, previously battery-only, nest doorbell. In settings, under battery, it shows plugged in. I also removed the device from my Home and resinstalled it and made sure to check that the doorbell would now be wired. My Nest Aware subscription is valid and all my other cameras are recording continuously and I can rewind the stream infinitely.
The device is still only recording events, not continuously recording.
Help please

Unfortunately, the battery doorbell always runs off of battery power, EVEN when it is wired to a doorbell transformer, and so it cannot record 24/7. When wired, the battery is trickle charged.
"If your camera is battery-powered, it'll only have event video history, even if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription. 24/7 video history isn't available for the Nest Doorbell (battery), even with optional wired installation."

"If you’ve connected your Nest Doorbell (battery) to your existing doorbell wiring, the wires don’t directly power the doorbell. Instead, the battery is trickle charged by the power that comes through the wires, and the doorbell runs off the battery charge."

Because of this. when we added a doorbell to our unwired third entrance 2 years ago, we opted to buy the older 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell, and connected it to an OhmKat Power Adapter designed for the Nest Hello.
