Nest Doorbell Themes Missing

Why was the doorbell themes removed? I purchased this for that functionality only to install it and find out the option is gone. Why are they gone and why even remove the seasonal ones? Very frustrated as a customer who started switching to nest products. Taking functions away is not a good way to retain customers.

Google Nest only grants access to themes around certain seasonal holidays, and then takes that access away from us when it considers the holiday over. This is what they say about it:

I saw that. It’s just ridiculous that they take it away. That is such an apple move. Really bothers me when tech I buy changes.

No solution was provided and everyone is upset about the problem. Sounds like it’s still an open issue to me.

There is a reason why Google did this. In addition to standard themes, seasonal doorbell themes are available around some holidays. You can change the theme or set a different chime sound in the app’s doorbell settings. When you turn on a seasonal theme, a unique sound greets visitors when they ring the doorbell. If you use visitor announcements for your Google Nest or Home speaker or display, the sound plays on the doorbell and in your home.

After the holiday, your doorbell automatically goes back to the default tone, and the seasonal theme disappears in the app.

Hi Brad, this information you provided is incorrect. This is what us users are trying to covey to anyone that will listen. The “themes” option has been completely removed. There is no “standard them” let alone “holiday themes”. The is no option to change the doorbell sound at all. This feature was completely removed. This is what we are asking for. It appears our voices are not being heard in general. You said “there is a reason google did this” yet did not provide a reason. Why would google remove seasonal themes when some groups of people celebrate holidays at different times?? Specifically religious holidays. But at this point, we just want the opting to change something, anything! The option is complete gone and this was one of the reasons I bought the device! So now I have drilled holes into my home for a product that does not worked as advertised. That is NOT a good customer experience. I mentioned I was looking at moving from the Amazon eco system to the nest eco system, but I can promise you that so far the experience ESPECIALLY from the customer service side, has been less than stellar.

i cant even use the 2-way voice on my doorbell or nest camera and @User123456 has known about the issue for over a year and hasn't done anything about it.  @User123456 needs to do better.

I wish they would keep this year round and add themes that aren't just around the holidays. There aren't a lot of fun features to keep you engaged with your doorbell lol, and this is a great one. So why be so limited with it? I would legit keep my Halloween themes on year round if I could.

I have all your nest products and google services, and I truly believe, they behave as they should, performance wise and all,

today I went to change this feature and it was gone, please do better and listen to your customers, otherwise  we will opt out of your services and product. Thanks
