What’s the deal with the ongoing notification delays?

I’ve about had it with Nest and the notification delays. It has been an ongoing problem for the last couple years, ever since Google took over. I’ve been through your maddening troubleshooting countless times and it’s never resolved.

My house was vandalized two nights ago, right at the front door. I wasn’t notified that someone was even at the front door until 5+ minutes after they were gone. Then I got to watch 5+ minutes AFTER the fact as someone cut our water/irrigation lines with a pair of landscaping shears. Literally right at the front door.

My phone is on the same wifi network as the doorbell. I have gig speed internet and over wifi we get speeds in excess of 400mbps easily. It’s not a wifi issue. This has been a recurring issue with 3 different models of iPhone, year after year. So don’t come for me again, blaming it on Apple, like usual – nobody I know with a Ring doorbell and an apple device has this issue.

This is you. It’s an issue with you. Not us.

What’s the real story? Is it going to be fixed or not? I just want an HONEST answer. If the answer is no – that’s fine. I just need to know if I need to go buy a Ring or something else because 4+ minute (sometimes 20-30 minute) notification delays are unacceptable for one of the most expensive doorbells on the market.

No, I don’t have the case numbers. They’re probably in my account. That’s ok though. We bought a Ring Pro 2 and the notifications are instant.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. I'd love to help. Do you have the case number of your previous interaction so we can skip the steps you've already done and have this escalated?

We're really sorry to hear about what happened, @MrClean303. We'll take your experience as feedback and make sure to learn from this to improve.

Regards,

Steve
