Nest Doorbell Wired Gen 2 finishing up failing

Hi All,

I live in the uk and recent switched to the wired gen 2 doorbell from the gen 1 doorbell. It powers up and shows a blue light. Google app tries to add it but it fails at ‘finishing up’

I'm running 16v transformer and have the chime puck installed correctly. Chime rings without doorbell fitted. Everything seems fine.

just can’t get the app to finish up. Even tried the iPad with no joy.

please help

I'm just another Google Nest customer, and so I don't know if this relates to your problem or not, but Google Nest still says their 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell is STILL supported only in the United States and Canada:

https://support.google.com/store/answer/2462844

(We're still using our three 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells.)

You could try contacting Support to see what they say:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Select your device from the dropdown, click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

It’s solved!

I think when I first connected it (without enough power) it started to provision the doorbell.
i managed to do a factory reset and then it’s finally worked and provisioned.
it doesn’t seem to activate the Honeywell analogue chime but I’m Pat caring about that now as I can get it announced through the Sonos and it comes up on the phone as an alert.
so although it’s not launched yet, it works fine in the uk with an 8-24v transformer
