Hello!
I would like to help / start a conversation to get this issue looked at. We installed the Nest Doorbell (wired) a couple weeks ago, and honestly we love it. However anytime we have had a LIVE CONVERSATION with someone at our door the audio to the person at the door is echoed very badly and makes actual conversation almost impossible.
What I have tried:
- Removing and Reseating the Camera
- Factory Reset
- Multiple Devices (iOS / Pixel 6 / Samsung Phones)
- Hitting MUTE quickly to try to avoid the reverb (doesn't work great)
- Updating all devices and software
I cant tell if its the app itself picking up audio from the phone, or audio looped from the doorbell itself. We had an assistant device near the front door, and that has been moved away and still has the same issues. I am not blaming anyone, I am not mad, I would just like to help get this resolved. I'm no engineer but I am technically proficient enough to help and give direct feedback to help get this resolved.
TO BRAD: Don't lock me, keep me open, lets resolve this. Thanks 😃

Other people have reported this problem over the lasts 8 months as well. I think it is a bug related to Android phones. Your best bet is to open a support ticket and speak to an actual Google Nest Tech as they do not respond on this user forum. Here is hot to open a ticket and get them on the phone. There are a few hoops to jump thru but it will bet you there.

Once you know the answer or get this resolved please return here and report it you got it working or not and how. This will help other people running into the same thing.
