Hi there,
kit:
- Google Hub Gen 2 - Brand New
- Google Nest Doorbell (Wired) - Brand new
- IPhone 13 Pro
I’ve managed to get the doorbell working via the nest app but am trying to link it to Google Home so that it will sound/display on my Google Hub Gen 2 (note: this device is working fine and is integrated with various Hue bulbs etc).
I try to add the doorbell as follows:
- Set up a device -> Works with Google
- Select Nest
- I then enter my Nest credentials, plus the code that has been emailed to me and it takes me to a screen where I can allow the connection.
- When I tap ‘Allow’, I get the error message ‘Oops! We’ve encountered an error. Please try again’
Repeatedly trying doesn’t help, as does closing the app etc. When I went into my Google account I could see a partial connection to Nest (I suspect this is from when I tried to setup the nest connection when I purchased the hub) but no devices are listed. Have tried deleting this and allowing the connection again but not change.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Now resolved. I setup a new Nest account using my Google credentials, removed all the items from the nest account and added them manually to the Google nest account.
