We have a Nest Doorbell (battery) and we have iPhones. The camera and notifications work fine, except when someone is at my door and rings the bell, the notification sound on my phone does not catch my attention. Can I change the doorbell ring notification to be something other than a beep or two? If my phone would notify me with a traditional doorbell sound or something very specific and unique, I would always know that someone is ringing my doorbell. I have never actually answered my door when someone rang the bell, because I did not even realize that was why my phone was passively chirping at me.

I asked about something similar yesterday https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-Doorbell-Wired-2nd-Gen-notificatio... , I'm dumbfounded that such a basic thing is not available... like having an alarm clock that doesn't ring

It doesn't make any sense at all.

Yeah, Google Nest just uses the standard notification sound.
If you have a Nest Mini or Nest Hub, you could turn on "Visitor announcements" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451).

Hi everyone,
@LisaMJ and lsnk, thanks for posting here in the community. We appreciate your interest however, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature to the Nest app or Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Regards,
Emerson
