Nest Doorbell (battery) image notification to Apple Watch

The preview in my Apple Watch doesn't work, only a blank screen when someone approaches my front door

I have seen that this is a known issue for many months but my question is when will it be fixed?

It cant be that hard, image notifications works for other apps like Aliexpress and with thousands of smart Google engineers this must be a piece of cake

Hey there,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.

I understand that this can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Garrett DS

Hi Garrett, this problem hasn’t healed and still needs to be addressed.

I’ve tried restarting all devices as well as deleting the home and setting it all up again but to no avail.

Hello,

Yes, this is still an issue

When someone or something is identified by the doorbell it sends a notification to my watch but the image is blank

@miljume @Haggis

Have either of you tried to force-touch the notification? I am not sure if that is possible on an iOS smart watch or not.  Please let me know if this is the case or not with you.

Best regards,

Brad.

Force Touch has been removed from watchOS, also the picture should pop up by itself like for other picture notifications

Alright I apologize, I have never had a smartwatch. Not my thing. I cannot give you an ETA I am afraid. This has been an ongoing bug.

Best regards,

Brad.
