Nest Doorbell button stopped working

Hi,

My doorbell button has stopped working. The video works. I have fully charged the doorbell and did a factory reset, however, the button is still unresponsive.

Google technical team seemed surprised to hear that I wanted the device repaired or replaced since it seems to me that the button suffered from water ingress throught the button O-ring.

She advised to take it to a camera repair shop and pay for the repair myself to which I replied that I would rather switch Amazon Ring instead. Not happy!

Has anyone else experience similar issues?

  • Can you confirm the exact model of your Google Nest Doorbell? (Battery or Wired, and which generation)

  • When did you first notice the doorbell button stopped working?

  • Could you please provide the case number or any other reference from your previous interaction with the Google technical team?

  • Can you attach a photo of the defective button to this post?

Hi Kevin, thanks for your reply.

The doorbell is the second generation battery operated. It stopped working around October-November.
