Nest Doorbell constantly fails.

Doorbell is consistently unavailable. My cameras work fine but my doorbell has ton of issues. Ironically the doorbell is closest to my router.  The doorbell fails especially after someone rings it. 99.99% of doorbells send the feed spinning and all history becomes unavailable for a really long time.  Not sure how the basic function makes my history completely go away.

Hi @Aswang17,

I’m sorry for the inconvenience with your Nest Hello doorbell. Based on the behavior you describe, it seems like the internal battery might be dead.

Here's what I recommend:

  1. In your app, turn off the indoor chime.
    1. Android
      1. Open the Home app .
      2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
      3. Tap More .
      4. Tap Settings .
      5. Select Doorbell.
      6. Tap the Indoor chime switch to turn it on or off.
    2. iPhone & iPad
      1. Open the Home app .
      2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
      3. Tap More .
      4.  Tap Settings .
      5. Select Doorbell.
      6. Tap the Indoor chime switch to turn it on or off.
  2. Press the doorbell button and see if your Nest Hello still goes offline.

You should still receive notifications when someone is at the door even with the indoor chime disabled.

Please let us know if your doorbell continues to go offline after making this change.

Regards,

Josh
