Nest Doorbell going offline

Hi all.

I've had the Nest Doorbell for a couple of years now. Since the last update (a few weeks ago) a or 3 times a day I'm getting an error saying it's gone offline. It's consistent.

It has more than sufficient battery. Router is less than 10m away and nothing else disconnects. It comes back online by itself after a few minutes, but getting very frustrating.

Have reset the doorbell, but it hasn't fixed it.

How do I fix this?

Hi @mercury670,

Thanks for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Doorbell has been consistently going offline after a recent update. I understand how frustrating it can be when your device disconnects multiple times a day, even though it has sufficient battery and is near the router. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you already tried to fix. No worries, let's work together to get this resolved. To help with that, I have a few questions:

  • What type of Nest Doorbell do you have? Please visit the following article to find the model: Technical specs for Nest cameras and doorbells.
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near your Nest Camera that could cause interference?
  • Are you experiencing the connection issue with any other device?
  • What Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?

Any other information you can share would be helpful.

Regards,
Jonathan
