Having issue with doorbell holiday theme reverting back to default after 2-3 days, Google Home app (both iOS and Android) show the theme remaining on Xmas. Same issue happened during Halloween as well. If I switch the theme to something else then back to Xmas it will work again for another 2-3 days. This clearly has nothing to do with Google Home app and is a glitch within the Google system. Previously had an original Nest Doorbell for 4 years where the themes worked perfectly year after year. This is my first Halloween\Xmas with the new generation. Only final option to try is hard reset of the doorbell but then all history lost. Seems this was been reported in the past, google do you have a fix?

Hi Gabriela, I have a Nest Doorbell (2nd Gen - Wired). Chime currently set to Xmas theme but when it reverts on its own it remains set as Xmas theme but plays default chime. Yes I have Google Home on multiple devices and accessed by both my and my wife’s account all showing its set as the Xmas theme. What’s different is this new generation doorbell is managed through Google Home App whereas I managed my previous Nest doorbell (original version) with the Nest app, theming with that doorbell\app worked perfectly all the time over 4 years. I also had the nest app on multiple devices also accessed by both my and my wife’s accounts with no issues as noted. I have called in before and the steps to troubleshoot were asking these questions and resetting the doorbell. Final step was a hard reset\wipe which I am not yet willing to do as you loose everything. I also find it hard to believe my new doorbell only setup 6 months ago already needs a hard reset. This seems to be a glitch\bug in the Google Home system especially as my previous original Google Nest doorbell worked perfectly with the Nest app.

Hi Torscotty,
Thank you so much for keeping me updated. I appreciate the time you took to answer my questions. I understand you have your account shared with your wife, and both of you have the Xmas theme, but you want to use the default theme. I will do my best to assist you right now.
I recommend performing a factory reset; then you can connect your Nest Doorbell back in the app to have the default theme in your Nest Doorbell.
You can refer to these articles to restart or factory reset the Nest camera or doorbell and install the Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen).
Regards,
Gabriela
