I upgraded a couple months ago to the Nest Doorbell wired second gen from the Nest Hello doorbell. I only upgraded because the Nest Hello version was over heating and when someone would ring the doorbell, the video would go out. The Nest second gen doorbell is a joke. I dislike the view. I still can't see packages left below the doorbell (which wasn't my concern in the first place) but i have less of a horizontal viewing angle so i can't see my whole porch. but the biggest thing is that it does not identify familiar faces correctly. the Nest Hello rarely had issues. the new one, recognizes someone as another just because they have the same hair color and hair style or that they are both wearing a hat. nothing is similar between them. plus it labels the event wrong with the wrong identification. even when taking the incorrect label out. it will still say the incorrect name in the event. is there anyway to correct the AI description or the label of it? it should no longer say "john was seen" it should just say "unfamiliar face seen"

Hi @KKitten93,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing some inconveniences with the familiar face detection feature and the viewing angle of your Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen). I understand this is not the experience you expected after upgrading your device. I'm happy to help.
There's a possibility that the viewing angle was changed by zooming in from the Google Home app. I recommend visiting the article Zoom and enhance Nest camera video, where you'll find all the information needed about zooming in or out on the camera's entire view.
Since the familiar face detection feature isn't recognizing people as expected, and you mentioned the labels could be improved, we're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate your feedback to continue improving our products and meeting your needs.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Anders

The viewing angle has not been changed. It is zoomed all the way out. This doorbell has been a downgrade from the old nest hello doorbell. The viewing area is smaller. The selling point is supposed to be that it shows packages when under the camera. It does not. I see less than I did before with the old Doorbell. Then the familiar face feature gets it wrong 7 times out of 10. This is inconvenient if I set another device to do a routine based off of a familiar face since it recognizes random people as a familiar face. I just dont understand why it does worse than an older version.
