I have noticed that others have experienced a peeling issue with these doorbells. Mine is well outside of the warranty, but I definitely noticed the issue when it was still within warranty. I think it may have gotten to the point where the bell doesn't respond well to the touch. Does anyone have any positive experiences with contacting Google about this? Thanks!

Google Nest says they "cannot" replace peeling doorbells if they're past the 1-year warranty.
We bought silicone skins for two of our Nest Hellos to cover the peeling shards, but ours didn't get bad enough to affect the button.
You could, of course, try contacting Support to see if you get a different answer, using the link and instructions in this post:

Hi all,
@Mathademia, I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Nest doorbell. I’d like to check if you still need help with this. Were you able to contact the support team as suggested by MplsCustomer above? If yes, how was it?
If you haven’t been able to contact our support team yet, I'd be happy to take a look into this for you. I need additional information from you that would be best shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further. This form is only meant for you to use, so let me know once you’re done.
Thanks for the help, MplsCustomer.
Best,
Lance
