Nest Doorbell

I've had Nest for years!  I just switched from Cricket to T-Mobile.  Same phone number!   When the doorbell rings  it still shows on our Smart TV who is at the door.  But, it is not on my smart phone anymore.  Android is what I have.

I tried to sign in and I don't recall setting up a password, Dish installed Nest years ago for me.

I clicked on the Nest icon from my smart phones apps...entered my email address and clicked "forgot password" hoping I could rectify the situation...but nothing is coming through to either of my email address.

Please advise!

Allie

The most likely reason for not receiving a password reset email is that you are inadvertently trying to use an email different from the one used to set up your Nest Account.

You could try contacting Support to see if something else is going on:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

If you can't find or don't have access to that email address and Support cannot help you, you may have to factory reset and reinstall your Google Nest devices.  That can be a real pain for some 1st gen cameras, which can only be reset by removing them from the Google Nest app, necessitating waiting for up to 60 days for your Nest Aware subscription on the device to expire, so I hope Support can help.
