Nest Floodlight Camera lost connection and won’t reconnect

I’ve had my Nest Floodlight with Camera installed and working for over 1.5 years. One night the camera stopped and shown offline on the Google home app. I went through all the forums on Google and reset the device. Nothing worked. Factory reset. Nothing worked. I’m currently trying to add the device on my app as new but it cannot be found. Any ideas what can be done? I don’t want to buy a new floodlight as these are expensive.

Hi Sergmatrix1,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I know how important it is to have a working camera. Let's check our options here. To confirm, what is the light status of your Nest cam? Did you remove your Nest cam from your Google Home App before re-adding it? Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera?

Give these steps a try:

  • Restart your Nest cam, your phone and Wifi network.
  • Reinstall the Google Home App.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,
Emerson
