Nest Floodlight offline - how to get back online?

Hi -
We've had our hardwired floodlight and camera set up for one week. This evening the floodlight is "offline" and "not responding"

I've been searching threads, tips online, etc. and cannot locate how to reset the flood light remotely w/o climbing up on a ladder.  Help?  Camera seems fine and activates when motion is detected. Just no floodlight.

Thanks

Hi Brad - got it figured out, the breaker that light / camera are on tripped. Seems like this should be TOP of the FAQ / Troubleshooting. It was super easy...but I didn't even consider it until going down multiple pathways.

Thanks!

There seem to are multiple reports of the floodlight camera going offline in this forum, so I don't know whether a reset will solve the problem.  Do you have good WiFi signal strength at the camera's location?  For example, can you get a live view of the camera in the Google Home app?  Does it show up on the new Google Nest livestreaming site: http://home.google.com?

The only way to do a Restart or a Factory Reset unfortunately involves plugging the camera into a power source and pressing the reset button on the back of the camera:

Hi MplsCustomer - thanks for the note. I figured it out. The circuit the lights are on was tripped...reset and up and running.  Seems that THIS should be in some sort of "Having issues?  Have you checked...x, y, z"  Maybe it is and I just couldn't find it.

Appreciate your response and ideas!  Thanks.

Ah, okay. The floodlight camera has a battery in it, so it can record events (but not 24/7) if the circuit is turned off.

I don't know why the floodlight camera has a battery; Google Nest doesn't explain that. Perhaps it's because it's pretty much the same camera as the Google Nest Camera (Battery), which we have.

Hey there,

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad
