I've dealt with these products for years and I am done. I cant believe how a trillion dollar company can fix this whole Google Home / Nest integration, or lack thereof.
For years, absolutely no updates on the respective apps thar are simply disgusting in terms of of user experience. Just terrible.
Everything works poorly, no way to add multiple devices at once, slow process, and the endless need to scan QR codes or add alphanumeric codes that, ever thought could get erased with time? On an outdoor camera?
I swear I'm so annoyed by how much time I waste every time I need to set something up, or re set, as today where I need to setup a nest cam that has lost (outdoor) the respective codes with no feedback nor instructions on how to approach setting up the camera without QR nor Codes...
Also, having products connected through Google home and others through nest app is terrible. Specially now that YOU CAN use your workplace account with Google Home(about time) but YOU CAN'T use it with nest... So now I have to have two homes and accounts for the same house?
I really can't believe there has been no changes on these products for years. Where's the product team? It takes 5 mins to get the feeling of how bad is the Home App, what's going on?!???!?
And the last drop... You have the community under a random "googlenestcommunity.com" WHAT THE HELL?!?!?! Is this even an official site?!?! Is this a phishing site?!? What company has product community page on a different domain?!? Security 101 come on guys step it up.
I have Google Home Mini, 4 Nest audio speakers, 3 nest cameras, 1 nest hub max and 2 doorbells. I want to burn them all.
So... How can I for the last time set up a camera what has lost its QR and Setup Code?
